Personality
Nyoka is a very curious young pup, to a fault. She routinely gets into her parents' belongings and asks them frequent questions about the world around her. She is easily frightened, and will often hide behind whichever parent is present for protection. Nyoka is very timid around strangers, and it takes finding a common passion for her to quickly open up to someone else.
Because she is so young, there is much to be discovered about her as a person. Nyoka will change and grow as she experiences more of life.
History
Past
Nyoka was born to loving parents Masimba Chenai and Ylva during a time of darkness in Myrkur's winter, the latest member of the Chenai family. While her own history has yet to really begin, her father often talks to her of his own home, a far away savannah and jungle land brimming with magic. While she does feel a connection to the Mangata pack she was born into, she also feels a connection to her father's homelands. As she gets older, she hopes to learn more of the history of her bloodline. She is ready to experience life and create her own history.
Present
After turning one, she realized that her passion was in crafting things. Ever since, she has been working hard to learn all that she can about crafting from her beloved uncle, Dion.
A few weeks after she turned one year old, the Hersirs of the pack, Ashanti and Juneau, died suddenly. She attended the homegoing celebration of the pack, dressed in home made regalia similar to the foreign style of her father's.

Parents
Masimba Chenai is Nyoka's biological father. During her birth, he was very nervous about having a daughter due to his significant fear of women. With his mate's support, he shows no fear towards his daughter and is always loving. While he worries for her safety, fearing that her curiosity will lead her to wander off, he knows the importance of curiosity and encourages her to learn about the magical world around her.
Ylva is Nyoka's biological mother. Her birth was a hard one for her mother, but Ylva believes that the pain was all worth it once she saw little Nyoka's face. as her daughter grows older, she works to make sure that she does not become walled off like her mother did when she was a pup. Ylva's own parents having largely been absent from her life, she works to make sure that she is involved in Nyoka's young life.

Ellie, a red wolf Huskarl, is so close with Masimba, she is Nyoka's aunt. She was over the moon upon finding out her brother was having her niece and was chomping at the bit to finally meet little Nyoka.
Ellie took Nyoka out hunting after finding out the yearling wanted to make her parents gifts. Unfortunately, Nyoka was too eager and Ellie was unable to stop Nyoka from attacking a mother deer in time. The red wolf taught the ashamed Nyoka that hunting must be done with careful self control and information gathering.
Dion, a brown hyena Finna Smioa, through his care for Masimba, took it upon himself to give Nyoka her first accessory to wear. On top of her curiosity in creating things, this gift was just the right push for her to figure out what she wanted to do when she gets older. Dion inspires Nyoka to be a Smioa just like him.So far, Dion has started teaching her the basics of crafting. Thanks to him, she is learning very quickly.
Hossein Kifeda, a striped and spotted hyena hybrid Berserker, has quickly become one of Nyoka's closest friends despite him being older and much bigger than her. His incredibly kind and helpful nature drew her to him and she looks forward to every conversation with him. He strikes her as the sort to enjoy being playful as well. Now Nyoka is unwilling to admit to herself that she is developing a crush on the strong hyena.

Name Meaning: "Snake" in Old Norse

Personality: Nyoka's snake familiar more often than not has a cross eyed look on his face. Contrary to this though, he is a witty, sarcastic voice of reason for Nyoka, working to keep her curiosity from getting the better of her. Cunning and kind, Ormr is able to get Nyoka our of tight spots and helps her come out of her shell around other people. He is always seen around Nyoka's neck, enjoying her warmth.

Dion gifted this earring to Nyoka upon learning she had been born. This earring embodies what Nyoka wants to do with her life - become a Smioa, and so the jewelry is incredibly precious to her. She is now rarely seen without the earring firmly in her left ear.
